1. General

These terms and conditions govern the sale of goods and services by Worksop Timber Company Limited ("we", "our", "us") to you ("the customer"). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotations and Orders

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
  • Prices are subject to change without notice prior to order confirmation
  • An order is not binding until we have confirmed acceptance in writing or by email
  • All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated

3. Products

We manufacture and supply timber packaging products including but not limited to:

  • Timber pallets (standard and bespoke sizes)
  • Timber crates
  • Packing cases

All products are manufactured to agreed specifications. Minor variations in timber grain, colour and dimensions may occur due to the natural characteristics of wood and are not considered defects.

4. Delivery

  • We deliver across the United Kingdom
  • Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. We will not be liable for any losses arising from late delivery
  • Risk of damage or loss passes to the customer upon delivery
  • The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate access for delivery vehicles

5. Payment

  • Payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
  • Title to goods remains with us until full payment has been received

6. Quality and Defects

  • All goods are manufactured in accordance with the specifications agreed at the time of order
  • Any defects must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery
  • We will replace or repair any goods found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship at our discretion
  • Claims will not be accepted for goods that have been modified, misused or improperly stored

7. ISPM 15 Compliance

Where required, our timber packaging is treated in accordance with ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) for international shipping. Heat-treated products will be stamped with the appropriate ISPM 15 mark.

8. Cancellation

  • Orders for bespoke or custom-made products cannot be cancelled once production has commenced
  • Cancellation of standard product orders may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking charge

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from the supply of goods shall be limited to the price of the goods in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special losses.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, supply shortages, or government restrictions.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
